Marie Hartig Kendall was born in 1854 in Alsace Lorraine, the daughter of a French mother and a German father. She emigrated to the U.S. in 1872 with her siblings.  1880 married to Dr. John C. Kendall of Norfolk, Conn.
She was a talented photographer who took artistic views of the countryside of northwestern Connecticut, particularly the area around Norfolk.  Her works were signed "Mrs. J.C. Kendall."
Condition: Sold as used item, edge and surface wear, no crease, no tears
